1. Ignoring NCERT
Many students always ignore NCERT. NCERT textbooks are very important from the NEET examination point of view. Reading biology and chemistry (inorganic and organic) is a must for students, as many questions has been directly asked from it in the past.
2. Labelling questions as difficult or easy
Students always divide questions (specifically in physics) like “this is a medical question and this is an engineering question. THERE IS NO SUCH DISTINCTION. Students studying chapterwise should get satisfaction and confidence in that chapter no matter which level of questions they have to attempt. They should not fear a book by preconceived notions of other students. Hence, NEET aspirants should not label a question as difficult or easy and should not judge a question based on which book it is coming from.
3. Ignoring school and practicals
Students are always on the dilemma that whether school and practicals are important or not. Firstly, practicals form the basis of science, and doing science without practicals is the biggest blunder an aspirant can do. In physics, analyzing data and error is something that practicals teach you well. In chemistry, most of the 12th class practicals are related to quantitative analysis, both inorganic and organic; which form a vital part of the NEET examination. Practicals give students that perspective to think of science in a logical and right way that they should. Secondly, schools give students a reason to read NCERT which is extremely important if someone wants to clear NEET examination.
4. Rote learning formulas
There are hundreds of formulas in syllabus and questions are mostly asked on application basis. Hence, rote learning formulas does not seem a practical way to crack NEET examination. In short run, it might be helpful; but in long run, the application based studying is the best way to go.
5. Reading too much inorganic
For inorganic chemistry, NEET aspirants should restrain to NCERT and read it multiple times instead of reading humongous books which takes a lot of time and ultimately builds stress. I hope all the aspirants, learn from these mistakes and try to improve themselves for giving their best shot at NEET examination. All the best
